Anti corrosion coatings for Ndfeb rare earth magnet
The ndfeb structure is very vulnerable when meet oxygen, iron element will separate from Nd2Fe14B and become Fe2O3 that structure is arrayed randomly that make magnetic field become directionless which decline its' magnetism. Hence protective coatings has been added to the neodymium magnet to make it more commercial.Usually,many of the coating are treated with anti corrosion coatings like Nickel,Zinc,NiCuNi, Epoxy, Gold, color glaze...
Curie temperature and Operating Temperature
Curie temperature is the highest temperature which magnetism could exist.The curie temperature for the neodymium magnets is about 305~330 ºC.The highest operating temperature of neodymium magnet is the highest working temperature it could bear. If operating temperature have over its limitation, each use will heavily decreasing its' magnetism.
Cautions about using neodymium magnet
The super strong magnetic force might cause injure when magnets have pinched together (even broke bones) Do not swallow magnets as it is deadly, do not use magnet around eyes as the magnet shatters cause injure .The huge magnetic field of neodymium magnet have hazard to electronic product like watch,credit card,floppy disc, medical equipment,phone...Please keep neodymium rare earth magnet away from these things.
Main Manufacturing process of ndfeb magnets
Pressing ndfeb garins: pressing process needed to operate in strong magnetic environment.
Sintering of ndfeb blocks: sintering process usually in a vacuum furnace at 800~1400 ºC environment .
Wire cutting: ndfeb magnet usually are in small and different sizes, cutting process need operated on wire cut machine controlled by automatic system.
Grinding of Ndfeb magnet: Operate on artificial diamond polish tool.
Plating of ndfeb: Plating need a lot of poisonous and deadly chemicals ,only expert plating factory could get the business license from China government. Thus we usually send for plating company.
Magnetization of NdFeB:north pole magnetization facility and south magnetization facility are both needed.(2~30 Koe)
